Thanksgiving  a time to give Thanks

One of the most touching  heart-warming Thank you letters I received to remember on this Thanksgiving

My son and I met Joe Sperle a year and a half ago through a friend. At that time, my son was playing in a youth baseball league and was asked if he could pitch. My son of course said "yes" and hardly had any type of pitching experience (pitched about 3 or 4 times in his life), and was "Mr. Bencher". The only thing he could do pretty well was hit, and even that needed work. My son has never had any formal type of training and was 13 at the time. His skills were below average, no one viewed him as talented, and he definitely was not an "Ace"! His average playing time on any team always consisted of "bench time," which he hated. We had no idea what it took to become a decent competitive ball player. The frustration from my son as well as my sympathy of his baseball skills became excruciating. Many Coaches either ignored Bryce or added to his low self esteem and confidence.

Joe changed all of that the day we met him. Joe worked on his throwing, pitching, hitting, defense, and offense, game strategy, psychological skills and confidence. Joe focused on all the levels Bryce needed to develop him into a "competitive " baseball player.; Joe's patience, skilled teaching, mentoring, technique, wisdom and support have brought Bryce to a level which resulted in receiving the MVP award from his travel team. My son's "web cam" catches, batting, confidence, leadership, offensive and defensive skills came to "light"! The reflection of Joe's teaching became very apparent.

For the first time in Bryce's life, he was "wanted" and thought as a competitive level player. The fundamentals that Joe has instilled in Bryce will never be forgotten and will always be a reflection in Bryce's character. Not only did Joe improve my son's baseball skills, but Joe has also instilled positive lessons throughout my son's life. These lessons will be reflected towards success in any situation Bryce will encounter. Joe has brought Bryce from a negative ball player, to a successful baseball player. Joe has given hope to a once faded dream to become reality. ; Joe will always have a special place in our hearts. ; We thank Joe and can never show enough gratitude for sharing a part of him with my son.
