Joe Sperle, President and Founder of the Freedom Pro Baseball League. Sperle, is the owner of Joe Sperle's Baseball School, has over 20 years of playing and coaching experience.
One year ago, Joe Sperle suffered a near fatal auto accident and spinal cord injury. Miraculously and through the dedicated support of his wife, Holly and a lifetime of athleticism, hard work and true grit, Joe is back on his feet quite literally but far from figuratively. That is when he was approached to allow his life story to be told in the film "Curve Balls"

Update on Joe Sperle's Recovery Journey:
Today, Joe Sperle took another significant step forward in his recovery at the WakeMed Health Park gym. Walking and doing physical therapy, Joe's progress is a testament to his determination and resilience.Over the past 18 months, Joe has spent hundreds of hours in tenacious physical therapy sessions. Despite the challenges he faced at three previous rehabilitation hospitals in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Joe has shown an incredible commitment to his recovery.
His journey has included rigorous weight lifting, stretching, and physical therapy in gyms, hotel fitness rooms, and the YMCA pool, which proved to be a priceless resource!
