Joe, like Michael Ingram share in a spirit of overcoming personal trials. He could have joined the masses in drowning in self-medicating, but instead focused on sports as his outlet. He excelled in several sports.
Joe has individually coached and mentored over 300 Scottsdale, Phoenix, and other Arizona high school players who won Arizona State High School Baseball Championships who went on to play college baseball on scholarships of which 52 players were drafted by Major League Baseball teams, the Diamondbacks, Giants, Red Sox, Yankees, Dodgers, Brewers, Pirates, Mariners, Angels, Astros, Phillies, Twins, Athletics, Padres, Cubs, and Rangers.
